Position Summary: Landscape Maintenance Crew Member

Responsibilities
- Mow, edge, and trim lawns to maintain a clean, professional appearance.
- Weed, cultivate, and maintain flower beds and landscaped areas.
- Prune shrubs, small trees, and perennials according to horticultural best practices.
- Plant annuals, perennials, shrubs, and trees.
- Apply mulch, soil amendments, and fertilizers as directed.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and install irrigation systems, including sprinkler heads, valves, drip irrigation, and controllers.
- Perform seasonal irrigation startups, adjustments, and winterizations.
- Operate and maintain landscape equipment, including mowers, string trimmers, blowers, hedge trimmers, and other hand and power tools.
- Irrigate plants by hand or with irrigation systems as needed.
- Perform seasonal landscape services such as spring cleanups, fall cleanups, and leaf removal.
- Keep job sites clean, organized, and safe.
- Load, unload, and transport tools, equipment, and materials.
- Communicate professionally with customers when appropriate.
- Report equipment issues, property concerns, or plant health problems to supervisors.
- Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Assist with commercial and residential snow removal during the winter season as needed, including operating snow removal equipment and performing hand shoveling to keep client properties safe and accessible.
Schedule
- Full-time seasonal position, with the opportunity for year-round employment.
- Monday–Friday (occasional Saturdays during peak season).
- Typical workday begins in the morning and ends in the afternoon, depending on weather and workload.
- Employees interested in year-round work may have the opportunity to assist with snow removal operations during the winter months, depending on workload and business needs.
Qualifications
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, wind, and rain.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly and perform physically demanding work throughout the day.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated.
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license preferred (required for crew leaders).
- Previous landscaping or horticulture experience is a plus but not required. We are willing to train motivated individuals.

Physical Requirements
- Stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift throughout an 8–10 hour workday.
- Lift and carry up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
- Safely operate landscape equipment.
- Work in dusty, wet, hot, or cold outdoor conditions.
